![]() ![]() The problem is that for the next month or so, I'm going to be surrounded by people getting in my way and holding up my workouts. My gym dammit!!! Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for people starting new exercise regimes and improving their lives etc etc, but this happens every year, and every year the gym is back to its almost empty state by the end of february, because almost all of the resolutioners give up, lose focus, get bored, whatever. As the gym is used almost solely by students, all of the binge drinkers, fat slobs and stoners have decided that for their new years resolution, they are going to set up home in the gym. Now the problem begins at the start of the new year. It also has a small freeweights section, although it does have a power rack and two olympic bars. However, it pains me to say that there are a couple of slight problems with this.first of all, the gym is pretty small, and can only hold about 35 people at once. (Well, actually a couple of warm-up weeks first!) Anyway, being a student, I work out at my university's gym cos its by far the cheapest place around, and the easiest to get to. I apologise in advance for this rant, but I've just returned from the gym, and I'm starting to get a little pissed! Over the past two weeks I have come to the conclusion that new years resolutions are without a doubt the work of the devil! Let me explain this.Īfter 6 weeks out because of a wrist injury, I finally returned to the gym last week for some hardcore training. ![]()
